Genitalia in Regalia
Protest organizers take a creative response to Ashland's recent ban on public nudity in its parks by demonstrating in front of the Ashland Civic Center Tuesday, July 20th. Protesters were legally allowed to carry on as there are no anti-nudity laws on the books except for the parks. Ashland's new anitgenitalia ordinance was passed to serve commercial interests involved with the Shakespeare festival according to protest organizers.

Googy law 22.07.2004 - 11:02 The law makes "exposing the genitalia" illegal (topless is OK) in city parks and the downtown commercial zone. This includes Lithia Way, and Main Street between the Plaza and the library. Go to the Planning Department for an exact map of the commercial downtown zone. instigator> |
