Time for Senator Wyden to be a Fair Trader...
STOP DESTROYING THE WORKING CLASS, 02.01.2010 20:59
Senator Ron Wyden gets very high marks for much of his work. However for Trade Issues his grade is a big fat F! His support of corporate America at the expense of workers has led to the loss of living wage jobs for Oregonians which in turn has destroyed families and put strains on communities from Astoria to Lakeview and from Pendleton to Brookings. Profit over People hurts us deeply.
Senator Wyden: STOP supporting greedy corporations. START supporting working people. NOW is the time to turn the economy around. We need FAIR trade not FREE trade. Stop following Senator Gordon Smith, he is gone, we sent him packing... Follow the good lead of Smith's replacement and join Senator Jeff Merkley's positive stand for Oregon.
Senator Ron Wyden: NOW is the TIME to support "THE TRADE ACT"

And check out this message from the Oregon Fair Trade Campaign. Then add your name to send a clear message to Senator Wyden that it is time to support The Trade Act.
Friends:
Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) has supported failed trade policies like the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the World Trade Organization (WTO), making it easier for large corporations to shift jobs from the United States to countries with weaker labor and environmental standards. Oregon has lost an estimated 75,000 jobs under these policies.
The Oregon Fair Trade Campaign has printed 750 signs urging the Senator to oppose harmful trade agreements and to support comprehensive trade reform measures like the TRADE Act. Each sign represents 100 Oregon families put out of work as a result of bad trade policies. We're asking you to add your name to one of the signs (which you can do online). We will be delivering them to the Senator in early 2010.
Because Senator Wyden recently became chair of the powerful Senate Subcommittee on International Trade, his position on these matters now has a huge influence over the future of the country's trade policy.
Please use the form on the website below to add your name to one of the 750 signs that will be delivered:
