Talent, Oregon (3/15/10)--I don't watch mainstream TV much so couldn't have even told you that "Americas Got Talent" is a network program (ok, i admit it, i'm not up to speed on such happenings)... However this TV show got my attention when I learned that Southern Oregon's own Pete Herzog was gonna be filmed while he performed his music in downtown Talent, Oregon today. Attached are a couple photos to prove it happened.

"I know many of you will not be able to attend due to short notice and being out of town but I wanted to share this announcement with all of you anyway. It is a very weird story and hopefully will turn out to be a good thing for Pete promoting his music. You never know where it might lead. What is happening? Pete is playing tomorrow and being filmed by America's Got Talent

America's Got Talent asked Pete to invite friends.

Here is the story-
Last week Pete was playing at Downtowne Coffee. Some local TV folks were wandering around. America's Got talent folks were having one of their auditions in Talent that day. The America's Got Talent people stopped in to the coffee shop. While there they asked if they could film a few minutes of Pete while he performed. He agree and then gave them a card and a CD. He figured maybe someone would hear it and it might open some doors.

A few days later Pete got a phone call from AGT asking him if he would like to come to the next call back in Talent for their show. He said possibly. They called him back a few days later and asked if he would also be available to come to Portland on Wednesday if he was asked to continue. He said possibly if he could be back for his gig at the Bella on Thursday. They said they would pay travel and hotel. Then he got a call today asking if he could play at the Downtowne Coffee and be filmed there instead of going to the regular audition location.

So, he is going to Talent tomorrow to play at Downtowne Coffee (which we love) and will be filmed by AGT. What will happen after that, we don't know, but it makes an interesting story. The AGT folks asked him to invite friends so that is why I am sending this out. If you have a few minutes come on down to Downtowne Coffee and enjoy some coffee, quiche, bagels, soup, or sandwich and some music.
